கண்டுகேட்டு உண்டுயிர்த்து உற்றறியும் ஐம்புலனும்

காதல் தோன்றினால்
அதில் காமம் இருந்தே ஆகவேண்டும். காமம்
இருந்தால் கூடலும் இருக்க வேண்டும்.
அந்தக் கூடலிலும், கூடிக் களித்தபின் உள்ளதில் தோன்றும் இன்பத்தையும் பற்றிய
அதிகாரம் ‘புணர்ச்சிமகிழ்தல்’.
“கண்ணால் கண்டு, காதல் கேட்டு, நாவால்
ருசித்து, மூக்கால் முகர்ந்து, உடலால் தீண்டி ஐம்புலன்களும் ஒரே நேரத்தில் விருந்து
படைக்கும் திறன் அழகிய, பொருத்தமான வளையல்கள் அணிந்த உன்னிடத்தில் மட்டுமே உள்ளது.”
என்று நாயகியை தலைவன் புகழும் வண்ணம் அமைந்துள்ளது குறள்.
கூடலில் உள்ள தேக சுகம் பற்றியல்லாமல் அதன்
முன்பும் பின்பும் வரும் நுண் உணர்ச்சிகளை அடிகோடிடும் விதம் இந்த அதிகாரத்தில் மிகவும்
இரசிக்கதக்கது. சாதாரணமாக ஒரு சமையத்தில்
ஒரு புலன் மூலமே நாம் இன்பம் அனுபவிப்போம்.
கூடலில் ஐந்து புலன்களும், மூன்று காலத்திலும் ஒரு சேர இன்பம் சுகிக்க
வைக்க தலைவியோடு கூடுவதால் மட்டுமே அனுபவிக்க
முடியும் என்பது இதில் தொக்கியுள்ள அர்த்தம்.
கூடலில் உள்ள இன்பம் அதை அனுபவிப்பதாலும், அதை எதிர்பார்ப்பதாலும், பின்னர்
அசை போடுவதாலும் பல மடங்கு அதிகரிக்க படுவதை சுட்டிகாட்டுகிறது குறள்.

There is no
love without lust. There is no sex
without joy. This chapter,
punarchimagizhthal, talks about the joy of sex.
“Only you,
the one with the beautiful bangles, can satisfy at the same time the thirst for
pleasure of all my senses - my sight, my hearing, my sense of smell, my taste and my touch” gushes the nayak
to the nayaki in the kural.
The kural goes
beyond the physical pleasures during sex.
It underscores temporal nature of the feeling involved, in the
anticipation of the pleasure, the satiation of the lust and in the lassitude
and reliving of the pleasure immediately after. The recollection past pleasures
and the anticipation of the future pleasure enhance the present enjoyment of
the same pleasure.
There is also
an implied sense of the simultaneous gratification of all five senses that is
possible only through sex which transcends the more typical isolated enjoyment
from a single sense in other forms of entertainment.
